"The best Little Roadhouse in Virginia"
|
It's called "The Best Little Roadhouse in Virginia". Walk down the sidewalk on St. Asaph Street in Old Town Alexandria and you'll know this is not your average 19th century building when you see the bright blue awning over the front door is decorated with pink pigs. You are now only somewhat prepared for what you will see inside ..hanging from the walls and ceiling are airplanes, wild blues bands, crazy colors .this place is fun!
"Eat Cheap n' Git Out". But you still get really good food. Onion tangle, barbecued ribs, fried chicken, meatloaf, and mashed potatoes. Pecan crusted catfish and southern fried catfish. Po Boys include Jambalaya Po' Boy and the Wet Wilhelm (made with grilled beer sausage). Black Eye Pea Salad, Southern Cobb Salad, and Smokeshouse Salad. Sammiches (yes, that's what they call them at King Street Blues) include the Elwood (Pork BBQ) and the Sister Mary. Every Thursday night there is live entertainment at the bar. Tuesday night is ladies night. There is room for parties and meetings on the third floor.
