I gave Deb the addresses for her to add to the Alumni page.
After a couple of months and still no links, I did the code so she could cut and paste if she was too busy
After a couple of months after THAT, I asked her if she was going to add them,
she said YES, that she would be updating soon and they would be added then.
That was a couple months ago
So she tells Darrell Deane, that if he does a 78 page, she will put in a link right away.
My e-mail to Deb after her offer to Darrell.
Not only did I advise you of these and their links but I later sent you the
code so you could just cut and paste. You have done so much and it is
appreciated but here, you are only screwing fellow alumni. Let me know by
Monday night what you are going to do or I will decide for you. :-)
At 08:19 AM 2/4/00 -0800:
Deb,
I don't know what your problem is and I really don't care but now you
are going a bit far by offering to put in a link for the 78 page if Darrell
does one. You know damn well that 78 has a page, as does 70, 72, 73, 74,
76, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 89.
Deb's response back to me.
Andy, it sounds to me like you are the one with the problem. Maybe you can
push some people around, but I'm not one of them. I went and looked at all
those links. Those are not alumni links, those are YOUR links. I make
every effort to encourage alumni to do their own class page and in my
opinion, that is the most appropriate way to do it. I would love for my
sister to see how you spelled her name. Someone from her class would
probably have known. I hope no one thinks that they can't do the class
page just because you did those links. I think alumni will be more aware
of what is important to and what is going on in their own class.
I could have done what you have done but I wanted each class to do their own.
Helping is one thing but to act like you are the be-all of class pages,
that is another matter. You should step aside if there are alumni who want
to do one for their class, not threaten me. We have many talented alumni.
Let them do the page. I don't care what you do or what you link to your web
page, that is your perogative. And by the way, I take exception to your
comment that I am "screwing" alumni....I leave that to you!

My Response back to Deb which included her text.

Hmmm, was there a point here or merely rambling?

Then there is no 68 link, just a DEB link. I guess that is what you are saying.
I agree
If have made a mistake, you should bring it to my attention so I can fix it or just show her. I suggest that you show her since you would love that. The simple pleasures I guess.
Whatever that means.........
I think alumni will be more aware of what is important to and what is going on in their own class.

I could have done what you have done but I wanted each class to do their own.
Here, I DID do it AND I want each class to do their own. Here is the difference in our thoughts I guess. I also encourage them to take on the pages and do whatever themselves. 90 has done it yet you put in no link. 74 is on there way.
Do what you want but please stop lying as before by saying that you will put in the links. If you never intended to, you should have said that you never intended to. As for me, I would like nothing better than to turn over the pages to anyone from each class that will take them. On the other hand, I think having someplace to keep in touch is better than your idea of waiting for them, and in the mean time, they have nowhere. Do as you please. Again, you aren't hurting me.
Helping is one thing but to act like you are the be-all of class pages, that is another matter.
And your reasoning for saying that I act like the be-all of class pages? Of course you have none as I have NEVER said that they are mine but I HAVE said that I maintain some.
You should step aside if there are alumni who want to do one for their class, not threaten me.
I WILL step aside, why would you think that I wouldn't? Again, no reason for saying that and WHERE did I threaten you?
We have many talented alumni.

Let them do the page.
As soon as they are willing, I will. I want them to also. Agree
I don't care what you do or what you link to your web page, that is your perogative.
Rambling?
And by the way, I take exception to your comment that I am "screwing" alumni....I leave that to you!
I appreciate you telling me late than never, why you never did as you said you were going to and letting me know your reasons.
Take exception all you want but it is YOU, and not I who are depriving people from getting in contact with one another. That being said, if one of us is screwing alumni, it would be you. I would rather it be neither but I am glad that it isn't me. If it is, tell me how so as to give credibility to your assertion. I have validated mine.
Have a nice day and thanx for responding, albeit somewhat nastily, so quickly.
I respect, although I don't agree with, your decision. See ya around and no hard feelings from this end.

Deb's response to this was immediate. It included removing the "Class of 77" link from the Alumni page, banning me from the Matador Message Board, and sending her first of many threats/Nastygrams to the guestbook.
This prompted the creation of the Linx Page which was made a few days later.
Since then, the Bolsa Grande board has been receiving its share of (ill informed) Deb supporters. This is/was the cause of the nastiness which occasionaly rears its ugly head on the BG board.
And talk about a hypocrite, notice anything on these classpage addresses?
